A sign-up board is available outside the Student Services office.

 

The student services office is to assist Future Professionals during their time at AID. Student services supports the education staff by monitoring attendance, grades and weekly progress. This department also oversees that all mandates are being followed according to the Colorado Department of Higher Education Division of Private Occupational Schools.

 

Policies and Procedures are also monitored by student services.  Any updates or amendments to Institute policy and procedures will be posted as a Memo for Record on the bulletin boards.

Calling in sick:

 

Students are expected to report their absences. If a student wishes to call in sick, he/she should call the Call Center at 303-567-7500 before 9 am Tuesday - Friday and before 8 am on Saturday to receive points for calling-in. Students can also call in sick on via email by using the "call in sick" feature. If a student has a planned expected absence, he/she should use the Expected Absence Form (blue) and give as much notice as possible. Please refer to the guide below for more information. If a student is running late, he/she is also expected to inform the guest services department so that they can accomodate the appointment books.

 

A guide to forms at AID:

 

Expected Absence form (blue) is for planed and expected absences only. Use this form when you are planning an expected absence (i.e. wedding, family event, doctor’s appointment, etc). Expected absence forms must be turned in a minimum of 24 hours prior (school days) to the absence.

Early Release form (green) is for an unexpected absence for the current day only. If you have to leave early you must fill out the early release form before you can leave. Be sure to have your educator approve your leave and sign out at the time you leave. You will lose sanitation points and the remaining hours for the day.

 

The Event Approval form is for a planned event in which you wish to earn additional hours or points as well as credit towards your graduation requirement to complete extracurricular activities (4 for cosmo students, 2 for esthi and massage students). Before signing up or attending an event, first fill out this form with the event information and return to student services for approval. Once approved, attend the event, have the event form signed by the lead and return once again to student services for record of hours and points earned.

 

Challenge and Solution forms are for future professionals to fill out when there is a challenge. Future Professionals have a right to be heard and the protocol is to first fill out the form with the challenge and a reasonable solution.

 

Student Inquiry Form (purple) is for future professionals to fill out when an appointment with student services isn’t available or to request information like: proof of enrollment letter, grade verification or challenge, copy of ledger, Saturday inquiry, etc.
