It is the policy of Aveda Institute Denver that the school will close due to poor weather only if the Regional Transportation District (RTD) fails to operate or if the governor declares a State of Emergency.

To find out if the school is closed for weather or any other reason (i.e., emergency), the closure will be posted on the school web site home page at avadadenver.com.

On days that the weather creates poor conditions for commuting to school, the school will not discount points for students that are late, as long as students show up by the designated times:

FT cos, esthi students:   by 10 am Tues-Fri, and by 9 am Saturdays

PT esthi, massage students:       by 6 pm Mon – Fri

Students are still expected to call and report their absences and tardies as usual.
